Often I have come across with people who start preparing self when they take up anything new. It may not be wrong for those, who were unaware of the activities that they may have to pick up in future. But I am afraid, students who are into professional studies, even they start their preparation for bright career in eleventh hour.
Career building, particularly in Indian subcontinent is never given much importance. Priority is given to acquiring knowledge and bagging certificates. Even parents they go with a notion that if the child has good number of degrees, will surely get through the hurdles placed by interviewers easily.
When I quote the word Interviewer, this is not to be restricted to only job interviews but also the art of sharing your view in order to raise capital for your new firm or venture. Lack of career preparedness is dumping the efforts put together by many.
Time is demanding for a change in the students outlook. They need to understand the significance of career advisory in their life.
